That was me isolating an error in the scavenging system.

That was supposed to email me information, not dump it out on your screen.



Sorry about that, it was only active for a very short time period, but something tells me that doing it around the start of an hour may have been a bad idea.

It was restoring the proper will value, just an error in labels.



But the labels and return message will display the correct values now.

Well, if you can attack people that is. Being all alone in the city with no one to hit wasn't fun testing....

There's a new city created, just for new people. It is the Docks. All newly created people will be dropped into it to protect them for a little bit from big bad mean people like Rosalita.

Only intended for them to be able to look around and figure out what the heck's going on without being smacked around and being hospitalized forever.

You can't travel to it, although you can travel out of it. And as soon as they hit Level 2, they will be dumped into the Hood.

Just an attempt to make the initial encounter with the game a little easier for people, to try and keep them around longer. Gives them a place to stop and catch their breath a bit before being dropped into the frying pan. If we don't like it, or feel it's working poorly we'll just get rid of it. But for now it's up and running and any new people will appear there.

If marriage were to be put back in, it would be in a purely cosmetic fashion and not affect mechanics.

Change is in to grant 5 respect per hit for now. I also dropped duration to 7 days long, and you can declare war again after 24 hours. I was going to go 14 and 2, but decided to drop to 7 and 1 and see how it works.

Also fixed a bug that was ending wars at midnight too, sooooooo, bug fix, and slight changes in for now.

I am wary of giving victors the contents of the vault, but may implement that. Because people can empty the vault before hand, and while saying that you can lock the vault while at war, I don't like this because of the repercussions of being able to screw over gang functionality by just declaring war on them over and over to lock down their vault.

For now, I'm going to up respect per hit to 5 to go along with it being harder to get "hits" in because of needing them to be online. I will probably alter this in the future to work off a ratio based on levels in the gang. A level 1 person in a gang of people who are all level 50 should be worth nothing practically respect wise, but that level 1 in a gang of all level 1's would be equal. But for now I'm going to slap on a flat 5 per and see how that goes.

I'm also going to look into wars terminating early, and I'll probably drop the cool-down period to either 24, or 48 hours until you can re-declare. And keep the 14 day duration for now. Lets people have some breathing room while not shutting you down for so long before going back at it if you want.

Not going to limit how many wars you can declare. And don't plan on putting in a forced tribute aspect to gain a surrender. You can always work out a tribute required before you accept someone's surrender now anyways, so don't want to tack that into the gang system right now. I think they're already kind of bloated to maintain when you're in charge of them, so prefer to keep things simpler if I can.

I may someday look into limiting who you can start wars with, something like requiring them to have at least half your respect or something, but not at the moment. That's something I'll think about if I feel there are enough people/gangs being created to support it.
